Question
im 18, 5'2 and 110-115 lbs female.  i want to lose like 10 lbs but im wondering if i tone up and get more muscle if i will look leaner and thinner that way too? i am planning on 3 days a week for 45 min strength training and the other 4 days on treadmill.  i dont want to get bulky though, any suggestions?

Answer
Your program is a very good one very similar to mine...3 days strength training and 5-6 days of running.  A lot of females have a fear of getting bulky with weight training and this is generally a myth.  Gaining enough muscle mass to make you appear bulky has to do with genetics, hormones, and very hard training.  I would not concern myself with that...just do your workouts and watch your food intake and you will be fine.
