Question QUESTION: Hello again. In reference to why I may be sabotaging the relationship, I'm not sure why. I guess I have a habit in life of stopping something half way through and starting afresh in everything, work, games etc. I guess I am just scared of making the commitment necessary to make it work, when I think about it 40, 50, 60 years is a long time and I guess I'm scared of it.
Kind Regards
Byron
ANSWER: Hello again, Byron,
What I wonder, though, is why. Can you pinpoint a reason for this fear? It's not always, but very often it stems from something familial. What happened in your family growing up that may have contributed to this fear and the sabotaging?

QUESTION: I'm not sure. My parents have been happily married for 22 years so I can't think of any particular reason, whats more my parents are near enough soul mates in everything. My mum has real fears of being a grandmother and has fears about her age but thats about it really.
Kind Regards
Byron
ANSWER: Hello again, Byron,
I wonder if you have any concerns that you won't live up to what your parents have achieved.

QUESTION: That could we be it. I am scared that I won't achieve what my parents have and all I really want is to find someone. I may be looking at my uncle who is now on his fifth marriage in 12 years and maybe thinking that I am destined to follow in his unfortunate footsteps so to speak.
Kind Regards
Byron
Answer Hello again, Byron,
That could be it. If that's the case, you need to stop worrying about reaching your parents' standard, or befalling the same fate as your uncle. Instead you need to discover what your relationship goals are, and then work like mad to meet them. And, be warned, that along the way, we often try and fail, until we have had ample experience. Then the Universe will finally put before us the person that is our soul-mate... usually only after we are ready.
