Answer johnny chang, Thank you for your question.
I am sorry to hear of your insomnia. My understanding is that sleep medications are effective only on a temporary basis. They are not a long-term solution to problems such as sleep apnea, which must be diagnosed and treated by sleep specialists.
Doctors currently believe that depression is a biochemical (physical) problem in the brain. It requires treatment, either talk therapy, medications, or both. Treatment with antidepressants such as Paxil can take several weeks before they start working. I hope your mental health professional is providing adequate information and support. Since I am not a doctor, I cannot provide advice in this area.
Effective forms of deep meditation such as Transcendental Meditation (www.tm.org) or NSR Meditation (www.nsrusa.org) can help with problems in personal relationships, low energy, lack of motivation, and other symptoms of stress by directly eliminating the stress from the nervous system through deep rest.
I hope this brief answer has helped. Please feel free to submit follow up questions, if needed.
