Let me first describe when I started this terrible situation in my life (gastric and heartbeat problem). One night (7-8 months earlier) I was sleeping, unexpectedly woke up and started feeling fear; I was panic that time, my heartbeat was very high. I was trembling with fear of getting dead.
The same time I visited to doctor, he felt it was due to food-poisoning and suggested following tests and checkups for heartbeat:
i. 24hr Holter.
ii. ECG.
iii. Echocardiogram.
Each test was in normal condition, but Holter showed some increased heartbeat (up to 153) usually in nights when I was sleeping. But still I was feeling fear and panic and used to be in worst condition in night at bedtime. Again I visited the same doctor; he just advised me to refuse stress and stop unwanted thinking, and do more exercises. Also suggested to take [TeNormin-40mg], but only when feel increased heartbeat. Yes, I got some relief from that medicine for heartbeat but I didn’t get enough time for exercise, and I used to be in same panic state, fear and unwanted thoughts. I didn’t get sleep easily and used to be awakened whole nights. I was helpless that time.
After 1 month I didn’t feel any improvement in my worst condition but get added one more issue: Gastric. As time passes I got more gastric issue but felt some better condition in heartbeat problem.
After 2-3 months I had following condition: As soon I ate anything (usually spicy food) or didn’t eat anything for longer time, I used to feel more gas and belches, and due to that I felt high pressure and mild pain at chest just above heart (which starts more fear and panic into me). Also at the same time my heartbeats get increased.
Now my present condition is also much similar to above. I have started some homeopathic medication for gas (Arsenic, Pulsetila) but don’t feel any relief.
If possible please suggest any proper and good medication for the same. Also guide me for following questions:
1. Why my heartbeats get increases as soon I eat something or also if I don’t eat for long time? Is there anything serious regarding my heart? If the same situation persists, do there any chance for heart attack?
2. Also my heartbeat get increases when I step to stairs even just to 1 floor only, also I get very tired and weak. Please let me know if any serious reason behind it?
Now after 3-4 months I am experiencing following problem in addition to above:
3. In addition to the above problem; I am getting huge weight loss..... i.e. 8.0 KG for past 5-6 months and also other earlier symptoms continue to happen. One more thing that I observe is that I used to think fear of death because of heart. Whats the main cause behind it.
4. Sometime I feel pain in left-portion of chest and also at left arm. Why its so?
And major thing that I'm observing:
5. At the time when I am setting idle; I feel mild osscilation in my whole body as heart pumps the blood. When I hold a glass of water or tea, I feel shaking of that liquid. Please let me if anything going serious behind it.

You have described your problems quite clearly.Certainly your expression power is excellent.However I need some more about you so that I can send you adequate solution to your problem.Answer the following questions:-

7.)Do you have constipation or any other digestion problem?
8.)Do you smoke,drink or have any addiction?
9.)Provide your general routine as how many times do you eat a day and what is the timing of your breakfast,lunch,evening snack/tea and dinner?
10.)When do you go to bed in night?
11.)When do you get up in the morning?
12.)Do you irritated often?
13.)Your blood pressure level and pulse rate.

Reply: Usually I don't have such problem but I used to sit for long time in toilet. On daily basis, I used to go toilet for 3-4 times and sit there for at least 15-20 mins.

Reply: I never tried for it.
9.)Provide your general routine as how many times do you eat a day and what is the timing of your breakfast,lunch,evening snack/tea and dinner?:
Reply: Usually in working day: I go to bed in between 11.00 - 12.00 in night and wake up around 6.00 am in morning; after finishing daily routine I rush for office at 7.20 am. In morning I take 2-small chapatis and vegetables (usually light spicy) around 7.00 am. Around 9.00 am I usually go for a cup of tea in office. For lunch I take 4-small chapatis, pulses, same morning vegetables and 2-3 pieces of salads and finally small quantity of rice (not daily) around 1.30 pm. Around 7.30 pm I reach at home and prefer to take very small quantity of snacks or sweets along with water then go to toilet and then for yoga (Kapalbhati) but only for 10-20 mins. After yoga around 8.30 I take tomato soup and finally around 9.30-10.00 I take my dinner including 2-3 chapatis, pulses, vegetable (might be green or spicy) and small quantity of rice. And around 11.00 pm when I don't feel gas then I take a glass of milk (along with sugar and Isabgol-bhusi into it). Whenever I take some spicy or heavy food I used to feel pressure inside left portion of chest (just around heart); and then my heartbeat get increases. At that time I inhale air and then exhale all gas, then feel some relief but not for more time, after every 5-6 mins I repeat the same process again and again, get panic due to this. In weekend I follow the same routine too but do some walking in morning too for .30 hrs.
10.)When do you go to bed in night?:
Reply: Usually around 11.30-12.00 pm.
11.)When do you get up in the morning?
Reply: In weekdays: Around 6.00 am and in weekends around 7.30 am.
12.)Do you irritated often?
Reply: This is my weakest part. I used to get angry and irritated very easily even for very small things; I don't know why this happen to me and how could I overcome this part.
13.)Your blood pressure level and pulse rate.
Reply: Usually after 10-15 day I get my BP checked and it used to be normal around: 80-90 (lower) -- 115-125 (higher). My pulse rate also used to be 70-80 in normal and 90-100 when feel gas.
14.)What do you eat mostly?
Reply: Now I usually don't eat anything mostly because of fear of gas and heartbeat, but I like all sweet items.
The worst part of my nature is: I used to think a lot (its bad and good part) even for very small thing thats why I keep upset myself. But I don't know how to overcome this.

Answer Hi Prasant,
I got the needful to provide you adequate solution of your problem.You are "vayu pradhan" according to ayurveda.Your hair also must be thinning.At present your vayu element is quite unbalanced and so you are having all your problems.Now I am providing you the solutions based on Ayurveda,yogic therapy,mind-body medicine and diet therapy.
***Get up in the morning about 5 o'clock and drink 2 glasses of water.Gradually increase it up to 6 glasses.You may reach up to 6 glasses of water in a fortnight.You will keep the water in a copper jug in the night itself and that water you will drink in the morning just after getting up from the bed.After drinking 2 glass of water you will do laghu shankh prakshalan kriya.This include the following exercises.Start with udarkarshanasana in laying position(markat asana) or even in -10 times,triyak bhujangasana-10 times,tadasana-10 times,triyak tadasana-10 times,kati chakrasana-10 times.After doing these set of exercises go to get fresh.Only then brush your teeth.It means that you will drink the water kept in night even before going to fresh and brushing your teeth.After brushing your teeth do yogic exercises like shuksham vyayam of all joints 10 times each and bhujangasana 5 times.kapalbhati- 300 times,bhastrika-60 times,anulome-vilome 25 times.Kapalbhati at the rate of a stroke per 2 minutes.Bhastrika at normal speed and anulome-vilome quite slowly and gently.You will do all these pranayams in vayu mudra.After doing these pranayam do shavasana for five minutes and then yog nidra for 10 minutes.After completion of 30 minutes of these yogic kriyas,go to take bath.After bath do meditation for 20 minutes.Just go inside with your breath in mediation and watch what ever comes your mind.Do not try to concentrate on anything.After meditation do shavasana for 5 minutes and then take your breakfast.
***Breakfast at 7 am.
In breakfast do not take any thing cooked or fried.Your breakfast will include 1 teaspoonful of honey with 10 seeds of fenugreek.1 tablespoonful of chyawanprash.1 medium size apple.250 gm of guava.100 gm of cucumber.100 gm of papaya.
***10 am.- 50 to 100 gm green moong soaked in water a night before with 30 to 45 pieces of raisins(kishmish).100 gm of papaya and and 100 gm of apples(At no cost avoid these).Also you can take energy drinks like horlicks/complan after taking the above mentioned things.
***Lunch at 12.30-Your lunch will include a lot of salads.Make sure that your lunch/dinner composes of 75% of alklainic(alkalic) foods and only 25% of acidic foods.Salads will ensure balance of acidic and alkanic composition.Include cucumber,papaya,apples,guavas,carrots and muli in salad.Avoid tomatoes in salad.Avoid even salad soup that you usually take in late evening.All the cereals,pulses and dairy products are acidic in nature and green vegetables are alklainic(alkalic) in nature except of beans/muter.So avoid beans and mutters completely.You need to avoid even cauliflower too.Green leafy vegetables like gourd(kaddu),cabbage,patal are good for you.Make sure that all the vegetables are cooked with a little hing.Avoid chana dal completely for the time being(for 3 months,as the coming months of Feb and Mar)would worsen your gastric problem as in these months vayu problems aggravate.Eat only parboiled rice that too in small quantity.Do not drink water up to 45 minutes of taking lunch and dinner.After 45 minutes of lunch take 25 drops of pudin hara in a cup of water.
***Snack time at 4 pm.Take some protein drinks this time.Try to avoid tea or coffee for 3 months.Do not take biscuits or other fried items/fats foods/junk foods.Avoid anything made of maida.Avoid samosas,pakoras at least for 3 months.Avoid made anything made in hydrogenated vegetable oil like dalda.
***At 7PM do yog nidra for 20 minutes after doing anulome-vilomw pranayam for 5 minutes.After yog nidra take 2 tsp of turmeric(haldi) powder in a cup of lukewarm water.Then herbal tea or green tea only if herbal tea is not available to you.You can skip yog nidra in the morning if you do not get much time for it in the morning.
***Dinner at 9pm.Roti/chapatis with green vegetables and moong dal.
Avoid milk strictly for 3 months, after that you will take cold milk.Hot milk aggravates the gastric problem.After dinner walk for atleast 10 minutes.Go to bed by P.M. at any cost.
Some ayurvedic medicines that you need to take:-
1.4 tsp of Arjunarishta in equal quantity of lukewarm water after 15 minutes of breakfast and dinner.
2.4 tsp of Ashwagandharista in equal quantity of lukewarm water after 15 minutes of breakfast and dinner.
3.Agnitundivati-2 tablets after 15 minutes of dinner with lukewarm water.
4.Trifala-1 tablespoon full with lukewarm water after 15 minutes of dinner.
5.Do not take isabgol bhusi for 5 days.Observe what happen if you do not take it.If you feel constipation after stopping it take it with water in a little less quantity that you used to take earlier.
6.Take PH7-40 -1 tab whenever you feel much acidity.This is an allopathic medicine.However you can even take pudinhara tabs instead of it.
Things to avoid:-Tomatoes,beans,mutter,chana dal,milk,foods fried or cooked in groundnut oil,hydrogenated oil like dalda,tea/coffee,too much thinking or thinking without any reason,worry and hurry,fried/fast/junk foods,watching TV while eating,spicy foods,anger,irritation.
7.Kaliphosphoricum-4 tabs a dose 4 times daily.This a homeopathic medicine.You may think that how homeopathic medicine can be be given along with ayurvedic medicine.Yes, you are quite right according to old time opinions but in the present time all the allopathic ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines are given at the same time and it is called integrated medicine.
***Think positive and stay cool and calm.This will not come all of a sudden but continued awareness will help you in getting rid of too much thinking,irritation.After meditation repeat these conformations-Just for today I will not anger,Just for today I will not worry for anything,Just for to I will forgive everybody,Just for today I will stay cool and calm in any situation whatsoever be the situation(even in adverse situations).Whenever you feel irritated drink 1/2 or 1 glass of water and start watching your breath.This will help you in cooling down.
***Yogic exercises-Shuksham vyayam of all joints in the morning or evening before pranayam.Bhujangasana if do not feel any discomfort doing this.The sequence of yogic kriyas would be as follows:-exercise-pranayam-shavasana-yognidra/meditation-shavasana.After meditation must do shavasana for 5 minutes.Do suryanamaskar atleast on every Saturdays and Sundays.Sit in vajrasana for 5 minutes after lunch and dinner.If you do not feel it practical to do it after lunch as you would be in office at that time then do it atleast at dinner and coming back from your office.If you get time in the morning then do it after the breakfast.On Sundays do it after lunch too as that day you will get sufficient time for it.
Note:-Do yogic kriyas empty stomach and after 20-30 minutes of meal.Do not take bath just after doing yogic kriyas.Go for bath only after at least 20 minutes of yogic kriyas.
Make all the above mentioned a routine/a habit of your life.Continue the medicines for atleast for 6 months.After that contact me.
