my family has a genetic predisposition to body cramps. I personally (fortunately) only suffer the ribcage cramps and occasional foot-cramping. My mom was almost incapacitated with foot and leg cramps for many years until she began taking quinine. Quinine has been a miracle cure for her.



i haven't taken it, because mine aren't terrible (unless they're happening - but just for a minute), but it may have something to do with how the body handles calcium. Nobody seems to know...
