Question
I am interested in purchasing the new Impreza being advertized on the TV.  I am very intersted in the all-wheel drive sportscar (WRX) but I have some questions.  What exactly is all-wheel drive in lay terms?  Is it true that it helps greatly in turning and parking?  Is it true that if someone wanted to turn to the right the front wheels would turn right and the back wheels would turn left for a tighter turn?  (same with parking)?

Answer
All wheel drive means that each wheel has power going to it all the time. It helps a lot in emergency manuvers and on slippery conditions. What you said about the back wheels turning is called 4 wheel steering which is not avalible on the WRX.
Thanks,
Ian
