Subject: 97 Outback Flashing lights

Question
I just replaced the radiator in my 97 Outback.  Now that I have finished, and
reconnected the battery, the running lights and the instrument panel
backlights are flashing.  What have I done incorrectly?

Thanks
Brent

Answer
Hey Brent,

You have tripped your keyless entry/alarm even if you didn't know you had it.

If you don't have a remote you will want to find the valet switch.

If you look in the archives on this site you will see I have explained this process before.

The valet switch will be under the dash on drivers side but the location was up to the installing Technician.

You have to press the valet switch while the key is on, and the alarm will reset.

Justin.
