Question
Hi there,

I have a Subaru Liberty 1993 SEDAN and i am getting some sort of ticking sound when i drive from right front side. Sound is not always same , sometimes it differs but never goes.

One of car mechanics suggested me that it could be something to do speedo\odometer cable , it might greasing.

i tried pulling speedo cable out underneath the steering wheel but cannt find any nut or anyway to take it out.

Can some1 suggest me how to do it & or any other suggestion on this issue.

thanks,

Answer
Try lubing the cable but you may have to replace the speedo head it self.

The cable unscrews from the back of the speedo head and goes down to the drive adapter in the transmission on the passenger side.

Try taking out of the drive adapter side.

Justin
