Answer This is actually a bob marley song that brad coverd..it's one of marley's earliest recording with the wailing wailers as they were called then.
Rudy is just the character in the story,..it's not a true story per say...just a tale of a rude boy(s)..an thier struggles with the law and poverty in jamacia..after they're freedom from british rule..and to this day,they've had a HUGE problem with the political parties.and waring fascists.The song most likely was wrote around that basis.
