About Matt Maguire
Expertise I am new to allexperts, but have plenty of knowledge and experience in the realm of Sublime. Guarantee: you will receive an answer within 2 days of posting the question -- I have no feedback so far and would like to build some.
I can answer most questions about the band, the significance of the lyrics, the show dates,
the unreleased albums and tracks, misinformation, and, above all, I am an expert on their
influences and related music.
Experience I have been a huge fan for 14 years, I ran a server which distributed Sublime's live and unreleased music 24/7 for 4 years, I have answered questions about the band daily for years on their old website, and I know some of the largest collectors in the world. I created the 5 CD bootleg "Rewind Selector" which documents the influences of Sublime and was the topic of a Spin Magazine interview.
Education/Credentials I did not study music in college, but I majored in English, so I can write a clear response. I worked as a research assistant in the past, so I have skills in research if I need to figure out an answer.
Past/Present Clients Sublime fans aren't my clients, but I have distributed swag and rare tracks to all those who want them for years at no cost.

Subject: 54-46 from Rewind Selector - Which Show?
Question Which show is 54-46 from Rewind Selector? It is a very high quality version I can't seem to find anywhere else.
Keep up the great work - it's very refreshing to hear someone talk about Sublime with real knowledge. Thanks!
Answer Matt --
That is actually the studio album version of 5446 on Rewind Selector -- I am going to assume you meant the mix of Boops by Supercat (track 66) which is in the middle of 5446. That is from the December 1995 show in Asbury Park, NJ. Many people probably don't know this, but if you play with your remote on the DVD menu for Live 94-96 and light up the cigar, you can gain access to several several soundboard shows:
Asbury Park, NJ
Camden, NJ
North Tonawanda, NY
North Tonawanda, as you may know, was cut short after the crowd started throwing mud, so it's only a few songs long, but the soundboard recording includes the setlist and the guy screaming at the crowd that the show is canceled and berating them for 2 minutes.
Camden includes the famous story of when Bud got arrested multiple times on the tour, and they play 100 Weight of Collie Weed in his honor. They also play Warning Sign (I believe I used this version for RS, but can't remember) which is a personal favorite.
The only thing of note about Asbury is that Brad plays Waiting for My Ruca in full...pretty cool.
Hope that helps Matt,
Matt
