About Matt Maguire
Expertise
I am new to allexperts, but have plenty of knowledge and experience in the realm of Sublime. Guarantee: you will receive an answer within 2 days of posting the question -- I have no feedback so far and would like to build some. I can answer most questions about the band, the significance of the lyrics, the show dates, the unreleased albums and tracks, misinformation, and, above all, I am an expert on their influences and related music.

Experience
I have been a huge fan for 14 years, I ran a server which distributed Sublime's live and unreleased music 24/7 for 4 years, I have answered questions about the band daily for years on their old website, and I know some of the largest collectors in the world. I created the 5 CD bootleg "Rewind Selector" which documents the influences of Sublime and was the topic of a Spin Magazine interview.

Education/Credentials
I did not study music in college, but I majored in English, so I can write a clear response. I worked as a research assistant in the past, so I have skills in research if I need to figure out an answer.

Past/Present Clients
Sublime fans aren't my clients, but I have distributed swag and rare tracks to all those who want them for years at no cost.

Sublime - Bootlegs and year of release

Expert: Matt Maguire - 10/23/2009

Question
Hi Matt. It seems some boots may be hard to pinpoint a date of release since some are collections of songs recorded over a period, some were in a private circle on casette long before anyone else knew they existed, and some are just hard to find any info on. Let me know if this looks right- and please let me know the year Pure Anus was released(on casette).

What I've gathered (correct?)
1995 A Day In The Sun (Live Florida concert)
1995 Contact Buzz (live @ the palace)
95 firecracker lounge
95 fox theatre
96 hollywood swingers
96 dog gone blues
96 shootin' up in beantown (live @ mama kins)
98 Bums Lie
99 The Black Album 1

Answer
Eccs:

Incorrect on some of them and I can provide the date as well as the year.

A Day in the Sun was actually a 2-day concert in Indiatlantic, Florida.  3/24/1995 and 3/25/1995.

Contact Buzz is the shorter/video audio version of this show.  I have the soundboard version, uncut. It's 10/21/95.

Firecracker Lounge in Anaheim, CA was near his birthday on 2/2/1995

Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado was 4/20/1995.

Hollywood Swingers is 2/17/1995

Dog Gone Blues is not a recognized bootleg.  It's a bootleg of a bootleg. Check "Seems So Silly".

Shootin' Up in Beantown was 4/10/1996, right after the WBCN interview.

And now for the ultimate reference list:

Thanks for the question.  Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
