About GMan
Expertise
I can answer any/all questions in regard to "sublime". I was down with the band and Skunk Records since 1991; the year they released their second cassette, "Jah Won't Pay the Bills" until the end in 1996. I have answers to all of your questions about their music, their releases, their unreleased music, their promos, merchandise, and the like. You ask it, I'll answer it.

Experience
I have extensive knowledge of "sublime" from their origin(s)through the end of their career. I have been involved with "sublime" from the early years when Kelly Vargas was on Drums, I know everything that there is to know about their early career, their rise to fame in the early 90's, & on through until May 96' when Brad passed away. I specialize in the band's merchandise. I have been collecting everything that is "sublime" since the beginning and have extensive knowledge on the subject. They released an unparalleled amount of DYI promotional merchandise before being signed to MCA & I would be glad to help you find out what piece of their BIG puzzle you are holding on to and/or what you'd like to get your hand on!

Publications
I am a regular on all of the sublime chat boards and was a constant on the now defunct sublime board, "The Curb" where many people considered me the "go to guy" for information on "sublime" and the rarities that they left behind for us all.

Question
Hey again GMan,
just wanna say sorry about the last question...I discovered my answer after searching through your answer page, somebody else had asked aout this version. Yeah, I had no idea there was a 1995 Version with only 19 tracks.
I guess it's not that rare? How hard to find or should I say how much is it worth? Worth having in general? I guess it's a good overview of Robbin & 40 oz, or as you said,
a collection of the most "Listener-Friendly" tracks from those albums. Even with no rare tracks, funny how the cover looked rare to me. Had that 'phat' looking PA sticker on it. Is it worth 10 bucks for a new copy?
Think I'll grab that up from the indie record store.
Also, do you know why they re-released the S/T CD with a different style P/A label? First version has PA -Explicit Lyrics, as to the current version -PA -Explicit Content? There's no value in differene right? Sorry if I'm rambling man. Just taking baby steps to starting a Sublime collection, beyond the average store releases.

Besides saving my 20 something mad money for the 2006 Box Set, (I'm an oldschool money saver) I've been trying to find a way to fulfill my loss of the once copy I had of Sinsemilla 86-96. I sold it because I was wanted to have money for 'something else' which I won't say because I feel a bit let down I sold my only rare Sublime CD.
Anyway how much is it worth these days? How many copies have you got? Strangely, I couldn't find it on eBay lately.
All I can think is 'making' my own Sinsemilla mixtape,
by using the CD's Second Hand Smoke, EUTS box set, and what else? DO you know where else you can find the tracks
"Fighting Blindly", Minor Threat" and the rest of Sinsemilla's nuggets? Thanks from a 'Oldschool' 20 something (I got into Sublime during the 2004 Election, when I gave up on Rap & R&B and decided to get in to Punk & Ska instead, because I was feeling alienated and tired of the Bush era, and I wasn't about to go for old man Kerry). Anyway, I'm starting a Sublime collection now for the MUSIC...want to get deep into their genre these days. Peace, Nick

Answer
Nick,

The PA stickers/labels are just different sometimes & they don't do anything with the "value". If anything, they de-value the item. Plus, most anything with one of those stickers on it by sublime, you DO NOT want, other than possibly that Canadian Import.

And, yes, that is worth $10.00 bucks... big time,.. if it is in MINT condition. If it's all thrashed, don't bother. Get one from me or from eBay that is sealed so you know it's in perfect shape.

Lastly,... An Original "Sinsemilla" goes for $175.00 right now & I have them.

I hope this helps.

"All Sublime All The Time"

Peace,
GMan
