Sublime/Guitar

Question
Hey I have been a huge fan of Sublime and Brad for a very long time and I have wanted to build an exact replica of Brad's custom Dan Macdonald Brown guitar for quite a while.  I was wondering if you could tell me basically everything about the Brown guitar and what it is made of. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.

Answer
The dan macdonald custom(his tech/friend) was based off of a vox 1960's hurrican model as well as a G&L 100.It was constructed out of hondouran mahogonay,had gotho tuners,a floyd rose locking trem,a semouyr duncan jeff beck in the bridge(JB)/single coil,then another humbucker,,this one out of an old dean guitar he had lying around.He stained the guitar in a soap bath to give it a natural looking finish.I'm not sure of the type of gum based solution he used..but i know it was used.

Well Sam i hope this helps..,if you have anymore questions feel free to drop me a line.Take care and thanks for taking the time to write in.Good luck with you project..drop me a picture when you get done so i can see how it turned out.,.,.,andy=}

I am very familar with all sorts of questions pertaining sublime and the groups members.Whether it be about brad's songs,tattoos,guitars,amp,recordings,there isn't much i can't answer,and if i am not able i am willing to research until i can find one.

Experience

Saw sublime play at the 1st warped tour on august 17th 1995 at the tweeter center(was the blockbuster pavillion then),also have seen Long beach dub allstars and sublime with rome each 2 times. Played guitar since high school and have been listening and playing sublime's music since 1995,pretty much non stop. I'm very passionate about the band,it's members,and the legacy left behind.
