About Matt Maguire
Expertise
I am new to allexperts, but have plenty of knowledge and experience in the realm of Sublime. Guarantee: you will receive an answer within 2 days of posting the question -- I have no feedback so far and would like to build some. I can answer most questions about the band, the significance of the lyrics, the show dates, the unreleased albums and tracks, misinformation, and, above all, I am an expert on their influences and related music.

Experience
I have been a huge fan for 14 years, I ran a server which distributed Sublime's live and unreleased music 24/7 for 4 years, I have answered questions about the band daily for years on their old website, and I know some of the largest collectors in the world. I created the 5 CD bootleg "Rewind Selector" which documents the influences of Sublime and was the topic of a Spin Magazine interview.

Education/Credentials
I did not study music in college, but I majored in English, so I can write a clear response. I worked as a research assistant in the past, so I have skills in research if I need to figure out an answer.

Past/Present Clients
Sublime fans aren't my clients, but I have distributed swag and rare tracks to all those who want them for years at no cost.

Question
QUESTION: Hey, there was a poster in stores that had the sublime sun in the upper right corner, and a pic of Brad and his guitar and at the bottom it said "Bradley Nowell 1968-1996". Now I can't find it anywhere, including online and Ebay! Do you know where I can find it? Thanks!
                       -Dan

ANSWER: Dan --

The poster in question is this poster: http://www.movieposter.com/poster/MPW-8900/Sublime.html

That poster is one of many unofficial posters that seem to run in cycles.  I had that one years ago along with the 40oz blacklight poster.  I got mine at Newbury Comics in Boston, but I'm sure they no longer carry it.  I don't really keep tabs on those because they aren't released by the band and aren't collectible, so I don't have any leads for you, unfortunately.  You can probably find it on postersrus.com or one of the many other poster sites, but they have fresh posters and that one was popular in 2001.  Since it wasn't released by Skunk, it's not worth more than a poster, but best of luck finding it.

I did a prelim search and found that site which says it is out of stock, but I don't think I can help further than that.

Sorry I can't locate it for you,
Matt

QUESTION: Also, where can I find the original "89 Vision" song to download? The dirty version that says "She licks upon my anus like Louie dog" and such? Thanks!

Answer
Rate me high on both questions and I suppose I could email it to you once you contact me (mdmaguirespam [at[ comcast [dot] net) or you could always check out skunk.com's Sublime board.  People there are always willing to help.

It originally came from the bootleg Pure Anus which holds my favorite version of Doin Time (Hip Hop dub).
