AboutMatt Maguire Expertise I am new to allexperts, but have plenty of knowledge and experience in the realm of Sublime. Guarantee: you will receive an answer within 2 days of posting the question -- I have no feedback so far and would like to build some.
I can answer most questions about the band, the significance of the lyrics, the show dates,
the unreleased albums and tracks, misinformation, and, above all, I am an expert on their
influences and related music.
Experience I have been a huge fan for 14 years, I ran a server which distributed Sublime's live and unreleased music 24/7 for 4 years, I have answered questions about the band daily for years on their old website, and I know some of the largest collectors in the world. I created the 5 CD bootleg "Rewind Selector" which documents the influences of Sublime and was the topic of a Spin Magazine interview.
Education/Credentials I did not study music in college, but I majored in English, so I can write a clear response. I worked as a research assistant in the past, so I have skills in research if I need to figure out an answer.
Past/Present Clients Sublime fans aren't my clients, but I have distributed swag and rare tracks to all those who want them for years at no cost.

Question Hi, I'm a pretty new fan of Sublime, they're the first band i've found that i have really gotten into. I'm looking to find out more about them, and i was wondering if you knew where i could go to find out the stories behind all of their songs and what everything means in them. I also was wondering if you had the behind the music episode done on them, and if you do, if you could upload it to youtube or something so i can watch it too! Thanks alot,
Shannon
Answer Shannon --
First of all, I am releasing a bootleg in a few weeks that will cover the history of the songs and include mixes of their influences with the Sublime songs. It is called Rewind Selector and can be previewed at www.myspace.com/rewindselector. You may have some interest in that.
As to lyrics' meanings, once you can differentiate which songs are Sublime's and which are others', you can start trying to make sense of them. SongMeanings.net is a source, but please take ideas with a grain of salt; they are often built from hearsay and are often completely wrong.
Now if you have specific questions that don't involve me writing a novel for a response, throw a question in my direction and I'll do my best to help you out.
I have Behind the Music and MTVs Biorhythm on Sublime. You can email me and we might be able to work something out, but I'm not planning to load them on YouTube (too long). My email is in a past answer.
