AboutAndy Expertise I am very familar with all sorts of questions pertaining sublime and the groups members.Whether it be about brad's songs,tattoos,guitars,amp,recordings,there isn't much i can't answer,and if i am not able i am willing to research until i can find one.
Experience Saw sublime play at the 1st warped tour on august 17th 1995 at the tweeter center(was the blockbuster pavillion then),saw Long Beach Dub Allstarts perform in 2002 at the electric factory in philly.I have been playing guitar for 8 years and have both published versions of sublime guitar tab,plus can play almost 90% of sublimes music to a tee.I also have connections in the tattooing industry,and knowlege about the bands tattoo's from various interviews,pics,live show tapes,and a segment from tattoo magazine featuring opie ortiz,who inked alot of the band.Have Also been following the LBC music scene since 1995

Question Hey man, first off I heard rumors that they played Doing Time in the Play Nice
in the Pit show, and was wondering if that's true.
Secondly, i was wondering if there are any videos somewhere out there of
them playing Santeria and What I Got live, ooor they never played it before
the record dropped, cause if they used it as a first single then I'd imagine
they would have played it, especially if i can already find things like Pawn
Shop and Caress Me Down live.
Answer Hey max, as far as i know they never played doing time live,or santeria/what i got.Those songs were not fully recorded by the time the shows were being played.They started to play out "wrong way" "Jailhouse" "same in the end" pawn shop" "caress me down",and even johnny butt once or twice.
The problem was they got sent home from austin texas while recording the album.Brad was a mess and the band it self was strung out on pain pills they got from mexico.After brad got sobered up the band returned and finished the album in california,mixed it,then began the ill fated tour to support thier new release.In that time brad got married,and played only few dates before he passed.I know he didn't know alot of the lyrics to the new songs...so it made it hard to play them out.You can hear in some of the last recording he kinda dubs through most of the new material.But hey it was sublime and if time would of been on his side then he'd of toured and played new songs for all to hear.I would of really liked to hear a polished version of santeria live.
