Expert: Andy Date: 10/22/2007 Subject: robbin the hood/ portrait of a punk
Question hey, i just noticed that on the album robbin the hood it lists the song names, but they dont match the actual song number on the cd. The first five or so songs match, but i think it starts at "free loop dub/Q-ball" the name doesnt match the actual song. For example, the 12th listed song is cisco kid, but number 12 on the cd is the acoustic version of pool shark. Its been bugging me for the past couple days. Do you know anything about this? Sorry, one more thing. Other than Amazon.com do you know where crazy fool portrait of a punk is available for a cheaper price? I havent been exactly in the money lately. Addiction has unfortunately affected my family and ive been interested in reading the book but cant find it for under around $315. Thanks for listening.
Answer Yes, some of the pressing of robin the hood are in fact off.My copy is one of them also.
Portrait of a punk is a very rare find now-n-days.I was lucky enough to be at tower records about a month after it came out..and got a copy for about 25 bucks.Within a year it went out of print most likely due in part to sublime novelty wearing off.The hardcore fans bought it..the rest of the population was more interested in thier music rather than his life.
Getting a copy is going to be tough..i'd 1st try ebay or a sublime message board to see if anyone has copies for a decent price.Being that most sublime fans who have it or those who bought it "just because" know of it's value..it may cost between 100-300 bucks. If you can search out someone not in the know on ebay you may find a deal.
I hope this helps,,good luck in your search, take care adam.
