Experience Saw sublime play at the 1st warped tour on august 17th 1995 at the tweeter center(was the blockbuster pavillion then),saw Long Beach Dub Allstarts perform in 2002 at the electric factory in philly.I have been playing guitar for 8 years and have both published versions of sublime guitar tab,plus can play almost 90% of sublimes music to a tee.I also have connections in the tattooing industry,and knowlege about the bands tattoo's from various interviews,pics,live show tapes,and a segment from tattoo magazine featuring opie ortiz,who inked alot of the band.Have Also been following the LBC music scene since 1995

Question kool Sublime letters, are you familiar with sublimes gold album? its not great but only because its not a new album but its old songs remixed.No thats not a good question but im also a big fan of sublime and thought it might be neat when i stumbled apon your site, and curiously what kind of guitar amp did bradly use? Also do you play any musical instruments?
Answer I didn't buy the album..only cause i have all the songs on various cd's and on the computer.It's not a bad cd at all..the remastering helps out alot since some of the earlier stuff was recorded on lo-fi.
Brad's 1st documented guitar was the ibanez s-540 custom out of the saber series..what is now the s-470.The only difference is the s-540 had gold plated hardware on the pickups,bridge,locking trem..and had "custom made" on the 18th fret.
Around 1994 his guitar tech dan macdonald built him a guitar(brown guitar seen in most videos),this he used almost exculsively until his death in 1996.
Amp wise he played a mesa boogie triple rectifier.In the early days he played 2 amps. A marshall jcm-800 combo and a roland jc-1209(jazz chorus),the 1st for distortion,the later for clean.
I play the guitar..i have 3,a ibanez s-470 custom,a fender double fat strat,and a parkwood acoutic.I play the electrics through a fender blues reissue 40 watt tube amp..with about 8 pedals running through a skb floor modulator.
