Question i live in Virginia where like everything is legal but i have to move to CA. i was set on getting a sugar glider but they are illegal. some people say you can buy them in a legal state then take them in CA but that sounds weird. if a permit can be issued i would like to know how pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are correct. Sugar gliders are illegal in CA. Unless you are part of an institution like a school you are not likely to get a permit. There are people that keep sugar gliders illegally in CA, but it is a very bad idea. You run the risk of the animal(s) being confiscated and they are usually put to death. The authorities do not deal with out of state rescues. If you are moving to CA, please choose a legal pet.
