About Betty
Expertise
I can answer general questions about Sugar Gliders and their care. I am NOT a vet, so can give limited information about health issues. Since gliders are so new to the domesticated scene, no one can really be considered an "expert," but I can give advice as an experienced, knowledgeable "amateur."

Experience
I have been a glider breeder for about eight years. I have nine gliders and their offspring. I have also done a lot of research about Sugar Gliders.

Education/Credentials
I have almost completed my studies at the Sugar Glider University.

Sugar Gliders - Introducing two gliders

Question
I have two gliders from different homes one male one female and I'm introducing them . I had them both in her cage last night and they were not fighting but he kept touching her nose and extendind his arms out showing his wings. Is that ok and when should I just let them stay together . I love them both and don't want to hurt them

Answer
Beth,

I've never heard of that interesting behavior.  If they are not hissing, crabbing, or biting, they are probably fine.  However, I wouldn't keep them together without supervision until you are sure they are getting along.  If possible, put them in a pouch or bag and carry it around with you while they are sleeping.  That way they will bond with each other and with you at the same time.

I hope this helps.  Good luck,

Betty
