About Lynne Luckett
Expertise
I can answer questions about surviving suicide, about losing a family member to suicide and how to heal the hole that is left behind by a loved one committing suicide.

Experience
My father committed suicide when I was 8 years old. It took me 13 years to even start dealing with his death but once the healing started it was truly an educational experience. I know now that he is with me all the time and though his physical self is no longer here, his spirtual self lives on in me and my son. I'm now 49 and have talked to several people about losing a loved one to suicide and have received some positive feedback about my advice. I am a medical transcripitionist and have been in the medical field for 20+ years. I feel I survived my dad's death to have the understanding to be able to help others. I love to help others.

Subject: Best way to die

Question
Hi there, lately all I think about is death and dying, and I can't seem to stop. My parents are even sick of it, but they think I am joking.
I was wondering what is the least painful way to die, I want to die quietly, and quickly, so no one notices. Thanks

Answer
Hi Monica!

I can't tell you the best way to die any more than I can tell you the best way to live.  But I can tell you there are far more reasons to live than to die.  You have so much to do yet; so many promises to fulfill.

All of us wish for a peaceful death when it is time; God's time.  We should not be choosing to forfeit this precious gift God has given us.  If you are obsessed with death and dying I encourage you to seek professional help.  Talk to a counselor at school or a pastor or ask your parents to get you some help.  Find someone who you feel comfortable talking with and give voice to your feelings.  Then put them away and start living for God who loves you unconditionally.  Monica, this world would be so empty without you; there are many wonderful moments left for you to experience, so much life to live before dying.

I will be praying that God gives you the strength to seek help for your troubled heart.  I hope this helps even a little.

Remember, God loves you and so do I.

Sincerely,

Lynne
