Subject: About the Installation Of Solaris 8

Question
Hello Sir,
My Question us that,
  "When i bootup my Intell x86 system with Solaris 8 Bootable CD-ROM to install it ,it perform regular checkup but after the specification of Active Partition it displays the Message that "Entering Installation Debugger"
What does it means & what to do then.
& one other fevour i want that plz tell me a General Proccess of Installation of Solaris 8.
I m also fed up with Microsoft's Window.....
Plzz tell me.

Hello Abdul !

Sorry for the delay ... I would recommend you to install the Solaris 10 OS on your x86 System. Since they have improved install procedures and OS performance I would definitly go for version 10. I haven't install solaris 8 on an x86 box so i cannot really help you with your problem. Version 10 is binary compatible so you do not have to rewrite your code and Sun further guarantees you that existing applications continue running on the new OS. If the install process of solaris 10 on your x86 box still does not work properly you might have a problem with your hardware.
