Question
such as in winxp i use netsend to send message from one computer to another

HOW CAN I SEND THE MESSAGE FROM ONE COMPUTER TO ANOTHER IF I AM USING
1]WIN NT
2] MILLINIEM
3]2000
4] 98

Answer
Hi !

One way is to do it the following way:

printf "eval echo \"yourmessage\" \| wall" | rsh unixsys

this sends a message to all users currently logged in on unixsys.

to send a message from a windows machine to unix systems you have to have either a "rsh" client on your machine or some other third party tool.

hth.
