Experience Been a professional mechanic over 30 yrs I've owned and modified 2 Sidekicks, and 3 Samurais, one of which I still have, and ocasionally drive, when my kids let me.

Question I own a 2001 4 door Grand Vitara. The problem I have is that the dome lights and the keyless entry stoped working at the same time. The car does not have remote start. I was told by the service people at the dealership that the two were totaly seperate problems and had nothing to do with each other. The keyless entry is probably the module. The dome lights don't work when any of the doors are open but do work if I turn the switch on on the dome light. I checked the fuse and it was good. Any ideas you have would be very helpfull
The car is no longer under warrenty so I would hate to have to bring it to the dealer to have it fixed.

Answer Look at it from this angle ... who do you think has more experience at this point with newer vehicles. You only get what you pay for, and in direct proportion too
I have no ideas, because I have no access to a wiring diagram.
I left the retail world because too many people think they can get more for less.
You need to get a wiring diagram first, and then begin diagnosis.
