Subject: replace fuel pump

Question
I have a suzuki sidekick 1993 model. How do I remove the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump?

Answer
There are bolts on the sides of the tank fastening it to the chassis.  Support the car on jackstands, support the tank with a jack, loosen the bolts, lower the tank until access can be gained to remove the pump/sender assembly.  BE CAREFUL!  The tank when full of fuel can slip and injure you.  You really need to have a service manual available to consult.  Errors as a result of inadequate repair information can easily exceed the cost of the original repair.
