Subject: Travel overland Stockholm to Barcelona
Question We have a son injured in a motorbike accident, currently being moved to Stockholm. We need him to get to Barcelona by surface travel ( injuries preclude flying). On 4/28/2004 Linda Scardinia gave a route on this site :-
Stockholm Central to Malmo Central Train X2541; Malmo Central to Berlin Ostbahnhof trai EN111: Berlin Ostbahnhof to Karlsruhe Hbf train ICE873; Karlsruhe Hbf to Paris Est train EC66......no note of TGV Paris to Barcelona. Can you advise if this is still the best route, the price and any alternatives ( by autobus ? or ?). Thank you in anticipation. Michael , Glasgow Scotland.
Answer dear michael,
sorry to have taken so long for the answer as there seems to have been something wrong with my vacation dates. i hope you got the needed info in time, but it seems to me that the train alternative would have been the best.
here's a link to the swedish train company: http://www.sj.se/sj/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=10&l=en
sorry so late, i hope your son is okay.
wishing you the best,
mona
