Aboutkarinafp Expertise I`m a teacher from and in Sweden. I teach Swedish as well as English, French, Spanish and music. I`m also rather good at finding information on the Internet.
Experience I've been an expert at askme.com, and was rated # 1 in the "Language" category. Must have been doing something right, then...

Question This is going to be a bit off topic, I apologize in advance. I 'm 17, and I really want to learn some Finnish. So I'm coming to you, since Swedish was as close as I could get on this website. Anyways, where would you suggest I start in my endeavour? I can't find any books or language programmes or anything. I actually took some Swedish lessons from the computer programme Rosetta Stone, but sadly they don't offer Finnish. Any suggestions you could offer would be appreciated.
Yours,
Josh
Answer Hello Josh, you are in for a real challenge! Finnish is a very special language, and I wish you all the luck.
I suggest you take a look at these sites to begin with:
And I have found one CD course on www.univerb.se
Look at the left column where you see "Välj språk" ("Choose language"). Choose "Finska" and you'll get to the page where you can order the course.
I have Univerb's Greek courses and I think their approach is rather good.
