Question
Hello, I am a dramaturg for a theatrical production and need to find out how two words would be pronounced in Sweden by a Swedish person.
The first word is "Vergerus" and it is a name.
The second is "Luntmakare" and is referred to in the script as a town.
I am not certain if these words are Swedish, but regardless, could you tell me how I would pronounce them if I were a Swedish person living in Sweden?
Thank you so much for your help!  It means a LOT!

Answer
Hello Maya!

Yes, Vergerus is a name, but Luntmakare is an old profession. However, we do have a street in Stockholm called Luntmakargatan. It is so difficult to explain the pronounciation of these words, as they contain some very Swedish sounds, but if you send me your email address in a private message, I will record them for you and send them as a sound file.

Regards,
Karin
