Question
Hello, George
I go swimming usually during the weekend (usually 1 or 2 times a wk)
when i swim, i only wear my swimming suit and swimming googles, without any protection for my ear
is it possible that i could get some ear infection if i dont wear any ear protection??
Thanks
john k.
Answer Yes it is possible, but not any more than under any other circumstances. The most common ear problem is swimmers ear. This is caused by not getting the ear dry enough when done swimming. An easy preventative for this is to pour a small amount of isopropyl alcohol into the ear canal to help draw the moisture out.
Other infections from swimming are very rare.
Hope this helps,
George
