Subject: Automatic cleaner popup heads not working
Question I just replaced the motor, impeller and all seals in my sta-rite pump. (A leak at the pump caused it to fail.) Now only the furthest popup zone works. It used to switch between all 5 zones with no problems while it was leaking. All parts were an exact match of what was already in there. Any ideas as to why only the furthest zone is working...?
Answer My only guess is that you did not install the parts properly on the pump preventing it from giving optimal flow. Less than normal flow could easily prevent the pop ups from working properly.
You may also want to verify the impeller is clear of debris and the filter is clean/backwashed.
Good luck,
Craig
