Subject: emptying pool cover

Question
I have opened my pool now for 5 years. Every year I have the same problem pumping water from the cover. My pump runs for days and it ends up pumping out the pool water itself and the pool cover water never seems to end. I have purchased a new cover but it still does not help. How do you stop from pumping out the pool water when you are only wanting to drain the water from the cover?

Sincerely
John King

Answer
Your cover has to be leaking, unless your allowing the sides to fall into the water. Are you sure your not buying those porous type.I always keep pulling my cover toward one end, as to get all the water in one area.Is their some way holes are getting in your cover. Lynn
