Question I have an inground pool and when we opened it this week the skimmer line to the filter seems to be clogged. We only get pressure of 18 and a small amount of water in the clear basket to the filter. Pool Co. came out today to blow out line, which only relieved line a little bit. We have tried to also snake the line, but are unable. What would you suggest next. Not sure if we should call plumber. The main drain on the floor is working find.
Answer Without a doubt I'd call a plummer.I have had success putting a garden hose way down in the pipe, the basket end would be best, packing the basket with rags to seal and turning on the water[sometimes half hour or so to unclog. You have to hold the seal tight[try from both ways.I can't imagine what could have clogged though both end having baskets.Lynn
