Question
I just read you post to stepanie.  My pool is gree too..  I've just poured 2 bags of shock and 5 gallons of clor in the pool (but just read to do it at night) it's 8am?  How much should I add tonight and not run the filter?

Answer
The idea is that sunlight eats up your chlorine, you get a better more effective shock. When dealing with algae it is important. You did read that if you see no reason for algae, you've been keeping your pool up and it is a blue/green it is probably metals causing it.Use a metal remover.Chlorine needs to be near 0 to work.Lynn
