Question
hi i have a hayward pump and just got my pool filled with water. My question is does my water leval have to be at the skimmer before I TURN MY PUMP ON TO BACKFLUSH THE UNIT. I HAVE MAYBE 3 INCHES BEFORE IT REACHES THE SKIMMER LEVEL. ALSO I GOT TO LOADS OF WATER DELIVERED DIDNT WANT TO DRAIN MY WELL BY USING THE WELL TO FILL THE REMAINING 3 TO 6 INCHES WILL I NEAD TO ADD ANYTHANG TO GET RID OF MEDALS FROM WELL WATER USAGE. I KINDLEY AND RESPECTFULLY AWAIT YOUR EXPERIENCE ON THE MATTERS AT HAND. brett

Answer
Yes,halfway up the skimmer to supply water to the pump. You will need to remove metals from water when refilling.A commercial metal remover will take care of this.{follow directions]Lynn Also excessive metals will cause water to turn a blue green color. If you get your water analyzed they will tell you tolerable amounts.Chlorine needs to be depleted when using metal remover as per instructions.Lynn
