Subject: lossing water dailk

Question
We have a 24" above ground pool with a main drain. last couple of weeks we are losing a 1/2 inch to a inch of water daily. We've checked all around the pool no leaks that we can see, its only 2years old. We're not sure what to check next. From Lafayette Indiana

Answer
If your sure of no leaks, heater?filter? I would say the main drain is suspicous.I heard but not used 2 tests, one looks like a suction cup that seals off the drain.Another is a dye released around the drain to watch the water flow to see if it goes toward the drain.Lynn
