Subject: Pool Vacuum

Question
Just started having this problem after 5 years.  When manually vacuuming the vinyl inground liner the vacuum sucks right to the side or bottom of the pool.  This causes the pump pressure to rise.  We pull hard to get it unstuck and pump pressure decreases. This is happening continually at this point.

Answer
I sent a follow up but it did not go through I apologize Sandra.IF their has been no change such as new pump or motor.Hose length has not been altered and you did try a GOOD head.I would look into your filter such as low sand or filter media. If everything seems OK I would install a valve in the vac line to cut down on suction. THANKS LYNN Did this work?
