Subject: My pool is green!

Question
How can I get my pool clear? It is green and i was hoping that i would not have to drain it. Please help

Answer
First get a water analysis,to high of PH can reduce the shock effect.Make sure your water  level is higher than normal[if you vac to waste you need the extra water].I would put 1 or 2 gallons of algaecide in immediately. At sundown double shock your pool, let the filter run 3 hours approximately.Put all vacuum equipment in the shallow end of pool,in the morning vac,vac to waste if algae is heavy.Add a coagulant if water is cloudy.Lynn
