Subject: average pool cleaning/maintenence costs
Question my husband and i are looking into buying a home with a pool. the home is bank owned and the pool has not been cared for. on the surface it looks as though it just needs to be emptied and throughly bleached. we are wondering how much work & cost will go into getting the pool cleaned up intially, and then how much on average to keep it clean.
any advice or directions to a website would be appreciated,
tracy
Answer I would think at most 500 dollars to get it going completely ready to swim.On average $50 a month, maybe $70 electric,I pay hear in ohio about $200 for gas heat in May and August/Sept.When nights get below 60 degrees it gets to expensive to keep the pool at approx. 85 degrees. I wait till the days are 80 degrees and nights stay above 60.Lynn
