Subject: winterizing spa attatched to inground pool

Question
QUESTION: should all the water be drained completely out of the spa?If so how do oyu do that? I know to blow the lines out but what about the water in the tub itself.

ANSWER: After using the drain plug all but about 2 inches should be gone.I use a small pump or a bucket and small cup and a  old bath towel that I keep wringing out for the very last.I leave the drain plug loose so if any water gets in it will drain.Lynn

QUESTION: The spa is completely underground, attatched to the underground pool. There isnt a plug to undo. The filtration system operates the pool and spa(hot tub).

Answer
Their should be isolating valves,I can't believe they wouldn't install it without. You certainly don't have to drain the pool to work on the spa do you?Use a pump to drain the spa.Lynn If not I would suck as much water from the drain with a small hose pump and add antifreeze.Lynn
