Expert: Manish J.Joshi - 10/31/2009
Question i have a 17x31 x5 liner pool. it is at the bottom of a hill. when we have heavy rain the ground water pushes the liner out toward the middle of the pool. as the ground dries the liner goes back to the walls of the pool. this water is not coming over the pool its coming thru the walls. this only happens after it is closed and covered. in the summer the ground is dry enough that i doesnt do this. my local pool store said to keep as full as possible to keep pressure against the liner. still it seems to get betwwen the liner and the wall some how. have you ever seen this before?
Answer Lot of places the vinyl / liner pool is not the ideal solution for the swimming pool
Now in your case one option could be exacavate around the pool and fill it with sand,i.e. make a sand bed so water will come out from the sand and then you can drain it into storm water drain
The water always travels on the path of the least resistance hence water will gush out from the sand
Other option would be to make of Reinforced Cement Concrete (R.C.C) pool which would be costly option and would like rebuilding it
