Question I have an 8ft. deep, 35,000 gallon pool and, I just replaced my pool pump with a new one, but after the first day, water stopped going into the skimmer. If I put the garden hose into the skimmer basket of the pump, one of the jets will pump, but no water is entering into the skimmer basket. Once I remove the hose, the pump keeps running but nothing else happens. What should I do?
Answer Water stopped going into the skimmer?I don't understand, the pool fills the skimmer.Do you mean water is not being fed from the skimmer to the pump?If their is a clog, first the water height is halfway up the the skimmer,remove the pump basket and put the hose in the skimmer AT the pool and see if you can force water from the pool to the pump basket.Lynn
