Swimming Pool & Spa Construction & Maintenance/vacuum

Question
my pool vacuum keeps losing suction after about 10 minutes.  Any ideas what the problem might be?

Answer
First off I need to know what vacuum you have or you talking manual vacuum? Any air leaks from pump lids, drain plugs or intake fittings can affect pump prime. The easiest way to check for intake leaks is too shut the pump off when close to full prime and see where water spits out and fix.
