Swimming Pool & Spa Construction & Maintenance/What kind of pool do I have?

We bought a house that is built into the side of a hill. The pool is at the same level as the  main floor and is basically it's own separate structure connected to the house by the deck. So it is not built into the ground at all. It appears to be concrete covered with a substance that is blue and has tiny rocks in it. There is a crack so we were going to put sanitred on it but  they said we had to sandblast the layer off. We tried and went down an inch but still it was this stuff so we didn't go any further. Do you have any idea what this could be?  Thanks

Hi Kellee,

Thanks for your question.

The best advice I can give you is to go back to the original owner & get any & all of the paperwork, contracts, etc from the construction of the pool. That will give you all the information that you need. Go back to the original builder & have the work done professionally.
