Question
What was the name of the TV comedy with Elliot Gould an emergency doctor. It was about the late 80's or early 90's. Maybe "Emergency Room" or something like that.

Answer
According to the Internet Data Movie Guide the closest thing to the show you're describing is "ER". He played a doctor on it for the first two years. I know it isn't a sit-com, but here is the link.
