Question
Hi Marrissa,I don't know if my last question went through but other than a Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Form what would I have the people around me sign to protect myself from being ripped off of my show,in other words that form seems to be very restrictive, how can these people(the Producer and show coordinator)sell my show if they can't reveal anything to anyone. Thanks,        Micke

Answer
Hi Micke - here's what I sent last time:

Wow!  Seems like things are going great.  Remember --- I am not an attorney, and you may want to consult one.

You want to include certain things in a regular contract in order to protect yourself.

- Ask your attorney if creating a new entity to pitch and produce the project is a good idea.

- Make sure everyone you hire has clauses that state that their services constitute a "work made for hire" (that is an official term under copyright law, so use it verbatim), and that you are the sole owner of rights.

- Include a non-disclosure clause for employees.  For the people who are selling, modify the clause to say that they cannot disclose anything except in the process of attempting to obtain an agreement for production and/or distribution.

Good luck!

Marrissa
