Question
I just bought a Samsung 1400 BlueRay player. I am hooking up the digital Audio to my Onkyo 575. However to get audio what setting does it have to be on? All the other audio in components have an assigned setting (whether it be DVD, CD, Tape, etc...). However this is no digital audio setting, how do I get the audio to run through the receiver? What setting do I put it on? Thanks

Answer
Peter,

In assigning inputs, what component and what name are not related
In other words, you can pick the sound of the VCR and connect it to say DVD on the receiver screen
We don't do that so that we don't confuse ourselves but the inputs in the back and numbered not assigned and assigning them is in soft format through the receiver program
So, if you connect your blu-ray audio say to digital 1, maybe assign the name Aux1 to digital audio 1 and therefore you will be instructing the receiver to look at whatever signal is coming on this particular input

Good luck

N George
