Question
Hi,

I purchased my Pansonic TC26LX70 TV about 7 mths ago. It worked fine up to a month ago when I started having problems turning it on. When the problem started the Tv would take about 20 seconds before it turned on. Now it doesn't work at all, just a light that flashes about 13 times when I click the power button and red flickering light in the back of the TV where it says audio signal out.
The TV repair man came and  reset it and ran some type of test that showed everything was OK with the TV and it worked for about 9 hours and then the same problem again.(he warned me that this could happen again) Could this be caused by any other devices such as a cable box or dvd/vcr that is attached to it?I have tried unplugging it , different outlets and still the same problem. Can this tv be saved, I hate to buy a new tv after only 6 mths of usage.

Thanks,
Andrea

Answer
Yes, it could be the same problem. No, I don't think it is caused by other apparatus.

Do a reset.  Unplug the power cord on the tv for at least one hour; it may take two hours. Then try it again.

If the reset does not solve the problem or if it shuts off again after a few hours, contact Panasonic again and insist they apply the warranty coverage on it.

This condition should not happen.  Panasonic is a good brand and they have a good customer relation.  Tell them Cleggsan told you to insist they take care of it and let me know if they don't get it repaired to your satisfaction.

PS: I checked the warranty on this model and it has a one year in-home warranty.  So, get Panasonic going on it before the warranty expires.
