Question
The display in the upper right hand corner of my Sony TV Model KV32S16 will not go off. It is about 13 years old. Does any know how to correct this?

Answer
Sorry, I don't understand the question.  Can you clarify what you mean?  Are you saying that there is something on the screen in the upper right hand corner?  What is it?  Describe its appearance.  Does it go away when you turn the set off?  Does it go away when you unplug the power cord?  Are you talking about a black square that keeps reappearing in each channel?  Does it go away when you are viewing a video from a vcr or dvd?

Then, if you can answer the questions I can help you.  You can email me at cleggsan#cleggsan.com

Hello,
I did not hear back from you.
If you are talking about the menu test remaining on the screen, just press the menu button again and it should go away. If it does not, do a hard reset to remove the corruptions of the software for the menu system. You can reset by unplugging the power cord for the tv for at least 2 hours, then plug it back in.

As a general rule, most experts will say that any tv of this size that is over 5 years of age is not a good investment for repair expenses. Yours is very old in terms of tv life;  it is rarely we see on this old and still going!  It is your lucky day.
