Question
I have an RCA HD52W68YX39 TV. My convergence is out of wack and the picture looks like 3D format. Any ideas how to adjust this. I have no convergence on my set up menu like the owners manual shows.

Answer
It can be adjusted in the service mode if the convergence circuit is not bad but in your case it is most likely the convergence circuit does need repairs.

You can check the service menu and see if you can adjust it into range but if not you will need service from an experienced RCA shop.  The cost of repair is generally around $400.

Here is where you can learn how to enter the service menu - if you dare!

Also, take a look at this site which may be helpful to your case:

PS: Warning, you can really mess up the system if you make a mistake inside the service mode.  I strongly urge you to write down every move you make so that you can go back and set an adjustment to its original setting if necessary.  These adjustments are often interactive and you have to go back and forth several times to get things where you need them.  It is not for the weak kneed person; you must be brave to get into and mess around inside the service mode on an RCA set.
