Question
TV went off while watching. on its own tried to turn on a few times.then dead.unplugged. front led lights..normal pause..   start up hum.. 1sec then off. Took off back case. Disconnected 2wire connector, @ I think HV ckt, just get the relay click, don't have to unplug to reset w/2wire unpugged. Trouble LED blinks 6x w/ all connected. Do have SM... I work with 2 way radios.   Thanks for any help.

Answer
Here is what Alan Wainwright, an Allexpert, said a couple of years ago about this problem.  He is a top expert on tv matters.

http://en.allexperts.com/q/TV-VCR-Stereo-1749/Panasonic-ct-32hx42f-June.htm

He said the set is getting old - and it is now two years later - and that other failures are common with this model.  It is probably so.

Therefore, I am also recommending you not invest in this model.  Consumer Reports says, as a general rule, that sets of this size that are over 3 - 5 years of age do not warrant repairs except for trivial items like a bad speaker or broken power cord.  In your case it sounds like either the high voltage supply or the main power supply has gone bad.

Hope this helps.
